Internet Pass Through in SP

Hi all,

I have been wasting around time to configure "Internet Pass Through" in my SP but no result 

Is intenet pass through feature of Andriod and includes 4.1 OR does it comes with 4.3 OR Sony has blocked it?

Frustating that Sony SP doesn't have it, my HTC One X had.....

You don't have the internet pass through feature on xperia SP you need to download PC companion to connect your device to your PC or use the tether feature to connect to PC . CHEERS

This depends on the configuration on your computer. If you receive internet via cable to your PC and the PC have a Wi-Fi card/Wireless adapter you can setup the PC as an AP host. You should be able to find some information regarding this if you search on Google for "AP host Windows". But as far as I know, this only works for Windows 7 and later.

I think it is a big drawback for someone like me who has a computer connected to corporate internet all the time.

Any plans of adding it in 4.3?

Unfortunately it comes down to PC's only generating ADHOC connection points as opposed Infrastructure points which prevents the Android OS from communicating with it. I have heard of work-arounds using third party tools but nothing that I can personally vouch for.

You can use Mhotspot to share your pc's connection with any other device.

Mhotspot is for WiFi HotSpot and not Pass through/ reverse teathering

is Pass Through disabled by Sony??

What mhotspot does is same as internet pass through. It can share any connection dial-up, broadband not only Wi-Fi. I'm sharing my data card's internet through Mhotspot which connects to internet via ppp. Use the Windows version not the android version.
