my prepaid account was consumed while browsing the net but i was sharing wifi from my tab.what do i have to turn off to avoid the same thing?

Your phone will not use any mobile data on your SIM card while you are connected to a Wi-Fi network except from MMS and assisted start of the GPS in some cases. Perhaps you lost the Wi-Fi connection to your tablet for brief moments. When you don't have any connection to the Wi-Fi network the phone will connect to the 3G network and continue the data traffic. 

To avoid this in the future you can turn off mobile data traffic under settings > more > mobile network while you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
