International messaging not working

I'm currently travelling (in Argentina right now) & many of my text messages back home to the UK aren't being received.I've been told by my network provider that this is because the phone settings are overriding the dialling code, to apply the local dialling code (i.e. using the one for the Argentina, rather than for the UK). They've advised that I change the setting that causes this but can't advise on how to do this. I can't see anything in my settings, can anyone help?

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Try changing the contact number, and add the +44 for the UK numbers. 

Menu > Contacts/Phone Book > Select contact to edit > Press on the Silhouette with the pencil and edit the number.

After this try sending the message to your friends.
