internal memory

ok, so i dont know if it's just me or my cellphone but i read online that 'Xperia Tx' is supposed to have 16 GB internal memory , but whenever I see my internal storage folder it shows ' 7.3 GB free of 10.8 GB'
which basically indicates that it has a total of 10.8 GB, if i'm right?

any reason as to why it's 10.8 GB as it's supposed to be 16 GB or am i reading it wrong?
