Intermittent Speaker Problem

Last Saturday I upgraded my mobile to Android 4.0.3, ever since I've had problems with my loudspeaker.  It will work, then won't, this has been happening all week.  At first it went very quiet so I could only hear it with my ear pressed to the bottom of the mobile, then within minutes it would get louder and work fine, then it would stop working again. 

I seems playing around with the settings can get it working for a bit.  The sound is fine with headphones plugged in.  I have just done a settings reset and it worked again, but after a minute went. 

Got any ideas?  This has happened just after 12 months with another 12 to go on my contract!

Seems like a weird issue. Have you tried repairing your phone using Sony's Update Service? If that doesn't work, it could be a hardware problem - or you could try changing your firmware. If you want more information regarding this, please PM me.

Me too, happened approx 1 week after upgrade, very intermittent, can be during a call, I have found other references, and found sometimes if flick between external speaker and internal speaker will work again, but not always, and not practical. Any help appreciated
