Hi,
I would like to install app on Adroid which does symbolic calculations in algebra - it is GAP (www.gap-system.org/).
Some person did compilation of this software for Android. I can download it to my phone but there is following problem.
1. I can copy it to my memory card - /sdcard folder but I cannot execute it there, because file system /sdcard is mounted with no execute option.
2. I cannot copy it to the phone memory - folder /data - because I do not have permission to do so.
I would like to add that this is not .apk application to install, it is just the executable which can be executed under Android Linux.
Any advice how I can overcome this limitation ? I have xperia neo v model MT11i, 800 MB free memory on memory card and 200MB free in phone memory. Android 2.3.4 compilation number 4.0.2.A.0.62
Regards,
Marek
As far as my knowledge stretches it must be an .apk which you place on the SD card. Use an file manager to install it and make sure that unknown sources is enabled in the phone.
