My current SD card is nearing full so i just purchased another at twice the storage. Other than taking the current one out and putting the new one in (after backing up) is there anything else that i need to do to copy all of the files from the old one to the new one (via my PC)?
Thanks
First move all the apps to the internal storage > then you can just connect either
The phone to a computer > transfer everything from the SD card to a folder on the computer > swap the SD cards > transfer it all back to the new SD
Unmount the SD card > connect the SD card to a computer using an adapter > insert the new SD card to the phone > you can transfer directly SD card to SD card or SD card > computer > SD card.
Thanks, it sounds simple when explained back, i just wanted to check i wasn't missing anything. I can't move the contents to my internal storage as there isn't enough free memory on that.
many thanks

You can also copy the content of the small card to the big card first, by using a PC, before you swap them in the phone.
Just switch the phone off, take the small card out, do a copy, put the big card in the phone and switch it on. READY.

@Kec1979 Just remember if you do big transfers like I do, that if you get some problems transferring from internal to card with big files, make sure that the SD card isn't formatted as FAT32
