incoming text message tone selection

Hello there everyone. I've just found how to select a tone from my SD card for incoming calls on the Forum, but how do I select a tone for incoming text messages, please? I can find the tone selection in Messaging/Settings/Notification tone, but this only has Sony ringtones, not the one I want. There used to be two selection methods offered, when I went to Notification tone, but I selected "Always" on one of them, and now I only have the selections available from there, with no access to imported tones, offered by the other selection. Help, please?

Hi there, 

Try to clear defaults for media storage. Go to settings > apps > all > media storage > clear defaults. 

Then try to select messaging tone again and you should get the option to select with which method again.
