ICS update draining battery like a hell

Hi guys i am facing huge problem after updating my sony xperia p to Ics.I updated my phone through SUS because my pc companion update always stuck on (press down volume key to start update).But after update i found that battery is draining 1% per minute.It means my phone will turn off within 100 minutes of use.That means i can use my mobile hardly 1 & Half hour per charge.The battery status says Display screen is draining 75% battery but i always kept my mobile on power saver mode,No live wallpaper,No wifi,bluetooth or packet data connection was on than what the hell is draing my battery through display?Is there any way to downgrade my phone to Gingerbread? I can't even repair my phone with pc companion bacause it stuck on press down volume key.What should i do guys???

@varunraul

Phone deads in 100 mins????, it's not at all normal, reinstall OS, I too got stuck at "Press vol down thing", it's jst a problem with device driver installation after a system restart it works like charm, battery life's actually improved a little for me after ICS update Slightly_smiling_Face Slightly_smiling_Face only thing that bothers me is that "false battery level" bug Slightly_frowning_Face

What do you mean by reinstall os?I have installed pc companion 3 times but still it is not allowing me to update using volume down key.What should i do? my phone is battery sucking monster right now.I don't even use my phone because of fear that i have to charge it again after 2 hours.

If that is the Case, Visit the near by sony Service centre and let the Teachnician examine ur phone.

Actually android Takes some times to settle down(Battery back up)

I mean reinstall using SUS here is the link http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/ follow the instructions carefully, if it still doesn't work do what raja said, all the best

Use SUS, it's more stable than PCC when updating and reinstalling OS.

I think it's better to visit service center because i have already updated my phone with SUS and regretting so far.Should i try Pc companion repair option or give a one more try with SUS?

By the way thanks for all the advices.

Try repairing with PC Companion, it's basically reinstaling of Xperia OS. Backup important dats before because everything is going to be erased (except sdcard folder).

Usually problems appear when updating ICS withoit wiping data, and repair solves it.
