Why after restarting my phone battery improve by upto 5%.Some time when my battery is on 42% if i turn my phone off & than restart it battery increases to 47%.Even while charging within 30 minutes my phone charges upto 85% & it took another 30 minutes to charge rest of 15%.Is it happening to everyone? Does SONY resolve this issue in their next firmware update? The problem has started after ICS update.
Xperia P uses fast charger,so the battery goes up pretty fast when connected to a wall charger. When it reaches 100%,it stays there a little more, for full charge. And when i turned off my phone and turn on after, even on GB i had a couple % more battery.
Yes,alex i know it uses fast charger but than why is it taking 30 minutes to charge last 15% of a battery? It must be a bug which may be removed with new firmware update.
Since I'm not common with that kind of issues since previously it's hard to tell what it might be due to and also what might be a fix for it.
First of all, try using another charger to see if the same problem occurs. If it still keeps appearing please try performing a repair of your phone's software.
You can easily perform the repair with our program Sony PC Companion, available for download from the link below.

Petter,my phone charges very fast, but when reaches 100% it stays there some more, about 20 mins or 30,until it is full charged. It is normal, right?
Yes,if the problem is with the last 15%,then it could be a bug.I am waiting for a new firmware, which i think should make ICS more stable.
petter i have repaired my phone thrice till now 2 times with PC Companion & 1 time with SUS.I even don't have spare charger to see is it work fine with another charger or not.Today my phone shut down due to battery low but after 3 minutes of charging when i restarted my phone battery is on 36%.How is it possible? Does this issue will be solved by Sony?
Guys Guys cool down. This is not a bug>its a very famous technology used by modern cellphones. Its called Trickling Charge. What it does is that it charges 80% of the battery very fast and would take a lot of time to charge the rest 20%.This is also a feature used in iPod Touch. You should be lucky to get this technology. Its a very good one.Now let me speak something to our Petter from Xperia support. His answer being a Xperia Support guy just shaked my Soul
Petter no offence but your reply just shaked my soul. You suggest SUS but this is a technology from Sony that they use in their battery. This shows your lack of knowledge for the Xperia Products and also not reading to what the customers say and lead into something that will never give a result. And on top of that you suggest to buy a cgarger...SERIOUSLY!!!!!!
This is an indication of your poor knowledge to your Company Products and not doing any research regarding what the customers say in the Forums
If trying another charger (to be able to make sure what might be the cause of the problem), repairing/updating your phone neither solves it the next step is to hand your phone in to one of our service shops.
For the best way to hand your phone in please contact your local Sony Mobile support. You can find contact info on the link below.
