One week back only I updated my XPERIA S to ICS 4.0.4 Build Number 6.1.A.2.45 from its first ICS update release for Gingerbread version. First ICS release improved my battery performance incredibly well but this latest release has brought back to those bad days again. The following bugs have been noticed after the upgrade
1. Contact Picture is not getting displayed while making calls. Rarely only it gets displayed.
2. Phone dialer and contacts list getting open very slowly
3. Battery performance reduced almost by 50% . Battery stood for atleast for 36 hours in first ICS version but now it's coming only for around 18 hours.
4. Camera functions got slower.
I'm so much disappointed with this latest release. Please roll out a version in future to rectify all these problems.
Please let me know which of these problem that remains after reinstalling the phone software using SUS.
Hi Johan!
Kindly give me two days time for monitoring and giving you with correct feedback after re-installing the phone's software using SUS. Previously I did it using Sony PC Suite.
Anyway I would like to understand on how installing with SUS and installing with Sony PC Companion would differ? Kindly help me to understand.
SUS it's only to update the firmware and nothing more
Hi Johan
I've re-installed the android updated 4.0.4...THe following things I've observed which might need to be rectified.
1. Battery charging time increased by around 40%
2. Battery lasts for around 24 hours for less usage in a 3G sim whereas the first update release of Android 4 made the battery to last for more than around 36 hours in same 3G network for the same kind of usage.
3. Phone dialer loading is too laggy
4. Sometimes while clicking the Favorites contact calling, the list of icons of icons getting pulled up has a blank space for CALL icon (ICON not visible sometimes) but itworks if I touch over that blank space for calling.
5. Camera is very poor in focussing. It takes time for focussing in most of the situations. SOny Ericsson's K810i was the best which owned it before.
Hope this feedback helps you to bring up some update in rectifying these problems.
I have another one doubt regarding charging. Can I leave my phone for charging throughout the night while sleeping? WIll it deteriorate my cell battery's life?
