righty first of i want to know if if i flash my Sony xperia u with the french ics by doing it the offical way how would i go about doing as i don't wanna brick my phone and would i still in term get official updates from sony themselfs

secondly should i just wait for ics to become available in my country which could take along time seeing as before i had an xperia ray and that took a long time to come but yet as i've been reading the xperia rays are still waiting for it

thirdly do unlocked xperia u's get the updates alot faster as they dont require any network approvales

I dont know exactly but someone on the forum posted saying that ICS was out for UK few days ago

defenitely not out i got same SI number and mines unlocked from carphone warehouse, right deal may i add.

na its defo not out in the uk coz the person who has the ics update claimed he got his phone from amazon which is the st25a and not the st25i

OK.Its rolling out slowly.The most rollout was today.Many Countries got it.So maybe you get it by tomorrow soon.

Warranty is not of much a issue but strictly ur choice.To remind you Sony service always sux so no use of that warranty

Probably, where are the guys based that release the updates at sony, is there still a chance we could get it today or are they not in office hours anymore??
