I can't transfer content between PC & phone when using USB cable

Well, basically that's the only problem so far I have with my xperia p. I read the usregide and it says that the software and/or the USB drivers have not been properly installed. After that the only advice i get is to go to sonymobile.com for more detailed instructions. Well, i went there and found nothing. If somebody has the same problem or knows how to fix it, please, let me know. Thanx.

I had this issue the other day and I did two things at the same time because I was getting frustrated so not sure which one did the job.

First of all on your phone Settings>Xperia>Connectivity and make sure Install PC Companion is ticked.  Then connect to your PC and you should get a pop up on the phone saying to install.  Do this even if you have it already installed on your PC and let it run through the whole set up. It takes a while to install the drivers so be patient.

The other thing is I tried connecting via Sony Ericsson Update SErvice which then updated to the Sony Update Service and again let it run through the whole set up proceedure.  Update service - Sony Smartphones (Global UK English)

After these were both installed (reinstalled) then PC Companion and my PC could see my phone.  Hope it helps.

I've solved this little issue, though not the way u described, but still thanx for the help.

Could you please tell me how you solved this issue? I have been unable to connect my xperia p with PC for long.
