i can't save files on external memory
I have updated my T2 Ultra with pc companion a few days ago, and now i can't save, move or delete any files on the external memory (downloaded videos, photos or documents), before the update it was possible to manage files in the micro sd with any file Explorer but now only appears a message saying the application doesn't have permisivos to writing or something like that.
Any information about fixing this issue?

First of all thanks to uliwooly, the link of instructables save me, ive been searching for that answer for months, its partial but give me some way to move files to my micro SD card.
Second. a dont now why every body is saying that the problem is a google restriction, my brother have a moto g with external card running on kit kat and this "google restriction" is not in that phone, so someone are not doing very well his job.

thanks for your answer, maybe Sony should implement that, im a mid range user phone and this phone (t2 ultra) is a step after to buy a high level smartphone, i think it is important make phones that have the best of other companies, its just my toughs.
Just one question for you @uliwooly do you know if under lollipop this restriction continue? Greetings
