My PC was reboot during Sony PC Companion is updating the software of my Xperia Z. I cannot start my phone and connected to my PC to start the the update again with message on phone "Make sure your phone is connected to the computer and try again".
Please help! How can it be resolved?

You will need to make sure that you are attempting a software repair on the device, as this will be the only option to bring the handset back to life. Try the instructions below.
1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.
Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.
3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
4. Phone Software Update.
5. Start.
6. Repair Phone
7. Continue
8. Accept data removal
9. Next
10. Wait for prepare
11. Select Phone
12. Follow the connection steps
the phone contains modified software that cannot be updated
sony update engine failure (error 2003)

Try to reinstall Sony Update Service and PC Companion.
If the bootloader has been unlocked and you´ll need to relock it so as to be able to update the Xperia device.
