I am unable to update my xperia arc to 2.3.4

Dear Executive,

I have an Xperia Arc which i tried to update from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 but it always says 'your phone already has latest software' on PC companion. I tried to update using the SE update exe file as well but that also displayed that the phone already has the latest software, which actually is not the case!

Please let me know when would this new software/firmware update be available globally so that phone has the updated software on it. Does that take long time?

Hi Mates

I bought my ARC in Sweden and did not yet receive any update “Firmware 4”. I checked the customization version of the phone: 1247-1016-r7d. I checked the version no. with XVD and it says: Germany T-Mobile Branded 1247-1016.

My phone is not branded and the “boot loader” is unlock!

Any suggestion?

the global roll out of the 2.3.4 will be late october early november

you can manually update your phone

i want to update to the latest firmware but my PC companion keeps telling me that my software is modified and unable to update it. Is there anyway to update without flashing my phone as i do not want to lose the current set up i have

try to turn off your firewall and/or antivirus or

try Update Service
