I have bought my Sony Xperia p almost a month ago and I have noticed there is an air bubble in the see through strip. It started out as a small bubble but with time it got bigger and it reached the return button, it's now half way through it. Does the air bubble affect in any way the functionality of the buttons?
Hello phaeleah,
even i faced the same problem... i gave the phone for replacement last monday will get the new mobile on wednesday... they said that its cosmotic problem( i dont know what exactly they mean) anywayz I'm getting a new phone...

Parmesh
This is what I wanted to hear, thank you,
Yes, the whitish part near the back key.
Yes I did, I put the other protection fim over the shattering proof film, and it's a bit off because that's how it ended up from the first try. And I didn't have the time to go back to the store for help.
Couldn't resist to reply: Come on people, is it that hard to understand that he has a bubble in the transparant STRIP? Not on the screen, it's the strip. There's no screen protector on the strip, as already stated. Parmesh gave the right information right away :smileyhappy:. Bring it back to the store as it's faulty.
It is happening in my XP too but its not a big prob or a coz to worry about .
@francis : i observed this problem like in every xperia u phones .
its just the air bubble formed .
the glue inside the transparent strip hols down the connection wires inside it .
its no harm in getting an air bubble.!
@ phaeleah : i recommend you to wait and watch . if no problem persists in operation the phone you have nothin to worry about. I too have this problem and m waiting .
xperia u have similar problems straight fron factory. its just the liquid or glue underneath.i advice you to stick on your silver xperia coz by replacing your phone you wont be satisfied because they replace a RED xperia and you know what SILVER means to you.
i too have SILVER xperiap with same problem as yours.
Wait and if you get problems in functionality of those capicitve buttons,, there always a sony centre nearby.

I have taken it back to the store and they said the only thing they can do is to send my phone back and they will look into it and also adviced me not to choose that option because it might not be something that important and I will send it for nothing. I will just wait an see if something happens but thing is I am not in my country now, I'm on holiday in Spain and bought the phone here.
I do hope nothing is going to happen because I actually like this device very much and I don't want to believe I wasted my money. Thank you for sharing this.
