But, after a 2 days research about the xperia L, i found many complainants about the 4.2. update of xperia L, and my 2nd option is xperia M but, for me xperia L is the best for me. Is the bugs and problems with this update is already fixed ? Or not yet ? I dont want to buy xperia L if still there's a problem, i've read many topics about hanging of the phone, enter key doesn't work, wifi disconnects automatically and mobile data doesn't work after updating the Xperia L. Any Opinions please ?
yes 4.2.2 has lots of problems in the phone app .... but it gets better with each update .... and you can always flash a 4.1.2 firmware which is much more stable
Experience between people varies, some people explore every corner of the software and find many bugs, others just use it lightly and experience little bugs-it is down to the individual. As a moderate user who makes the most of the phone I can say the following...
4.1.2 - Most stable firmware- as with most Xperia smartphones the release firmware is generally the most stable you will ever get. Little bugs, nice performance, nice rear camera, poor front camera
, overall a great experience-although it is an outdated android version.
4.2.2 - Buggy, fair number of bugs enough to make any user mad
. Performance is great, rear camera is great, front camera is better but still bad, Newer android version but still feels outdated. As for the bugs, proximity sensor continues to flash even after call ends, random reboots, giving Chrome location access causes reboot, call screen lags e.g. sometimes clicking on speaker mode does nothing, random freezes-especially after ending call-need to lock then unlock to use phone...There are more people have reported but these are what I have come across.
If you think that Sony may release updates to fix them-I wouldn't keep hopes on that-even if we get updates they bring more bugs than they fix and I am not sure if we will even get Android 4.4-Sony is keeping quite for Xperia L/M/SP.
Up to you now, I personally would wait a month or so, I am sure Sony will announce the sucessor to the Xperia L soon as they have done to the Xperia M...
