Html5 is not to be supported by the phone, but by the browsers installed on it.
And yes, they do support html5
Preinstalled Chrome browser does, you can get Firefox and similar browsers on your own, they do too
the player might not be optimized for mobile html5

scroll down for Android 4.0 versions, they work on JB too
BTW: did you try to switch the browser to the "PC mode"? It should disable "mobile" features, maybe this particular site would work this way... just a thought
Yes switcehd to desktop site....still didnt work oh well.....works ok on 2 year old xperia Tablet S
just an idea
I suppose this tablet S has the old "internet" android browser, not the Chrome yet (that replaced the generic browser in new JB).
My Xperia S have it as well, I kinda liked it so I copied the app over my new phone and surprisingly it worked.
What if you could do the same? Perhaps this old browser that worked on you tablet would work on the phone too?
I played VOD on the old one too (my mom like some series available here and there), I couldn't make they working on stupid chrome too, so... maybe this would work...
just a thought, not too complicated but.. worth trying I think
