How to use PC internet connection on mobile using USB data cable?

Hello Everyone,

I have recently bought new sony xperia sola and I am completely new to android world. I have a question related to using PC internet connection using USB data cable on mobile.

I don't have active data plan on mobile and hence, I would like to use my PC internet connection for browsing on mobile. Basically, I wish to download apps on mobile. I tried, but it did not work.

Any detailed steps on how to get this working??

This is called reversed tethering and it's not supported by default and as I understand it might require root access. For more information about root access and what it means and revered tethering please check the Android development section.
