Guys, I am having trouble with my Google play store. While I try to access it, it shows me an error that says "An application requires an update for Google play services". Any ideas?

Does it not give you any option to apply the update it is referring to there?

no options at all. Just that alert message.
Try opening this forum using Chrome in your phone and tap this url: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms. Your phone should ask which app to use, select Google Play and then see if you can tap "Update".

That's not a Sony issue, settings > apps > all > play store > clear data > restart the phone, check again.
