Basically, the back camera is better, has a higher quality and this is easiest seen by the SIZE of the actual camera, if you look at the front and back and compare sizes, the back is BIGGER and in smartphone cameras, bigger is better!
Back camera = 13 mega pixles
Front camera = 2.2 Mega pixles.
This means that the photos taken on the front camera are usually not that great, but are good enough for a few selfies and things such as skype, but your master photography will only come from the back camera!!
To make the most of the front camera, take your photos with the best light possible, brigter and with the light going to your face, rather than behind your face (taking photos into the light source)
If you're wanting to take better selfies (I'm assuming) it might be an idea to use the back camera with the self timer feature on the phone and make some form of tripod for your phone to take the photo, then you can take photos with the better camera of yourself!
