How to sort email

I have the Sony xperia pro.  Using the Sony email software app that came with the phone, how do you filter/sort emails.  For example, sort by sender, Subj,date, etc.  I can't seem to figure it out.

the email app it's too basic, remember this is an smartphone, take advantage of the Market and use apps like

Maildroid

Unfortunately with the default email application there is no way to sort them, however they will come in a chronological order based on date and time.

That is a bummer.  You would think they would make the default email application better.  Do you think they will update this? it would think it would be a standard feature.
