how to:- rooting without unlocking bootloader

i found a thread on xda developers about rooting without unlocking the bootloadder, but i dont really understand the process, when i asked that developer he didnt helped, so i am posting here so that somebody here can help me in explaining the steps of how to do this.

along with this i have another issue, which is that my phone isnt getting onto fastboot mode(power+vol-up), the led light shows blue for 2-3 sec  then it starts green n starts charging, i have checked the drivers seems all up to date, please somebody help

n bdw wil you tell me why am i not able to use my phone on fastboot using vol+ n power button???

turn off your phone > press and hold the volume down  then connect the usb cable do NOT release the volume key
