I got two questions about volume control on Xperia Z3 Compact
1. There was an occasion I plugged in my earphone on Z3 Compact. The media volume level automatically lowered from 11/15. When I tried to increase the volume it was bounded at 8/15 and a warning message poped up. I accidently
clicked off that message and now it won't appear anymore. There is also no media volume limit now while earphone plugged in. Is there any method to restore the earphone media volume warning/liimt without a factory reset?
2. Is there a seperate media volume level for sound speaker and earphone? The default media volume for speaker is 11/15.
What is the default media volume with earphone plugged in?
Thank you very much for your attention.
You will probably have to do a settings reset (which will delete everything on your phone)
Hi PeterIong,
Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
You could try performing a reset to defaults with the apps.
Menu > Settings > Apps > Press 3 little squares on top right > select reset app preferences
I hope it helps.
Hello,
I advice you that before doing a full Reset, or tinkering with all apps settings... you try looking for this insead:
Under Settings > Apps > All apps
Scroll to an app named similarly to "Sound Level Alert"... at least in my old phone this is what is called... and see if you can clear its data, cache, enable it, etc...
After that you might be able to see it pop up..
BTW why would you like to see the warning again? it is actually something I cannot disable in my old Acro S and it is definitely annoying...
Alternatively you can configure SmartConnect to set the proper Volume Level for each device that you plug, such as Headphones, Bluetooth devices, Headsets, etc... this way you will not play music accidentally loud, and there is no annoying message in the way.
Oh, thanks for the way to get rid of the dialog! It is annoying when I have my tablet connected to an amplifier with external speakers and the volume must be up.
