The phone is dual standby,it means you can only have 1 active SIM at a time .

http://www.sonymobile.com/in/products/phones/xperia-t2-ultra-dual/

the link on your website mentions (text copied below) .... What does one conclude from this. All we have to decide is what to do with the INFORMATION that is given to us

This is incomplete information ... Sony is not giving full details of the product.

Handle calls on both SIM cards

Dual SIM smartphones come with many advantages. They allow you to separate work from play – and handle your calls more cost-efficiently. With our new dual SIM feature, you can keep both SIM cards active at all times – meaning that you can talk on one SIM, and still receive calls on the other, instead of going to voicemail. This gives you the option of putting the first call on hold while answering the one coming in. So you need never miss a call. You activate the dual SIM feature when you set up your phone. If you add your second SIM card later, you can always access the setup guide from the Settings menu.

Yes,but there are also 2 versions of dual SIM:dual active and dual standby.Read more and you will see.T2 Ultra is dual standby, which means one SIM is disabled while the other is active:

Automatic allow both SIM cards to be on standby waiting for a call/data connection. When a call/data is established on one SIM card, the other is no longer active. Callers to the other SIM will hear a message that the phone is switched off or they'll be redirected to voicemail if any. Although, starting from 2012, the phones using chipset MediaTek MT6575, can provide the ability to receive a call on both SIM cards even when an active data connection is established on first SIM card, using only one transceiver.

Where is this Dual Standby mentioned on the website in product features. Sony is hiding details.

It is clearly mentioned, talk on one and still receive call on another. This means, it should be Dual Active and not Dual Standby.

The dual sim feature is also not working. 'Network Error ' every time i try. A lot of software bugs in this phone.

That is because the phone is dual standby, that is why you get network error.

I am referring to the option of 'Dual SIM Reachability' as shown in the attached image. This also does not capture the mobile no automatically for SIM 1 & gives the "Network Required Occured' when I put it manually.

SIM 1 is the one which is used for data.sketch-1398681664736.jpg

Does the same happen if you set the second SIM on GSM only?
