Evening all.
I have just taken delivery of my new phone (a change from the Samsung Galaxy I had for 2 years). Can someone help me with the supplied apps.
Firstly, On my old Samsung - I had an App or Widget that would stop all active apps - I can't see it on the Xperia Z. Can someone point me in the right direction.
If this is not possible or available, how can I stop a music track playing (not just pause) and close the Walkman app quickly.
Thanks in anticipation, ChrisMac

That was a taskiller or task manager, you do NOT need such apps anymore, by killing all the apps it will drain your battery a lot faster since all the background apps will re-start soon after, this will drain a lot more battery than letting them run in the background, if you don't use an app just uninstall it , if it was pre-installed and you can't uninstall it just disable it
settings > apps > all
also taskillers aside from draining your battery will make Android unstable and crash other apps.
if you want to exit an app press back until you exit, android will close apps as it needs to free up RAM.
There isn't a way to "stop the music just pause it, same goes with other music apps, although you might see some other apps that might offer that option, if you don't use the walkman app after a while chances are Android will stop.
This is my suggestion, stay away from
taskillers
taskmanagers
antivirus
battery apps
ram apps
booster apps
you do NOT need this apps.
