how to check if my phone is refurbished or even fake/replica (duplicate)

hi, first of all sorry for my english

just like the title i'm curious how to 100% sure that our phone is legit/original

i have xperia V before and now xperia Z

i have problem, the last xperia V i bought from 3rd party without warranty (3months warranty from the store unofficial),

what they called "black market" or something

they say it's cheaper because from singapore product (i'm from indonesia) but the seller not saying anything about refurbish or fake / replica

i use it for about 7months and then problem happened, it's start to overheating i mean very very hot can't open camera apps and got warning "your phone very hot bla bla bla" i send to official sony service center but they can't fix it because it's the main machine problem, then i repair it to someone else (unofficial) the phone returned to me with cracked LCD

beside that i have suspicious : the back cover and bezel got scratched/chipped easily ( i always use softcase) and rough texture in the packaging

i heard that IMEI can be fake also, people can register IMEI illegal

the point is not my broken phone, but how to identify it is legal /genuine or not

i think that refurbished phone is serious problem, common people can't differ the product which one is fake or not (or maybe just me), and i heard that samsung phone have lots of 99% identical replica from china manufacturer maybe sony also

maybe have to differ the box color or something or give proper announcement from sony to identify

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I can check from the IMEI where it came from if you wish to PM it to me. However if it has been to an authorised repair agent they would have also pointed out if it was not a Sony product.
