How to change 3g european frequency(900/2100) to american frequency (850/1900)??

I bought a Xperia Neo L in amazon and now that I am using it in Colombia i cant get 3g internet, only EDGE. The mobile operators here use 850 and 1900 frequency bands, while my phone only has 900/2100 frequency. I read something about flashing the Rom to change this frequency and use the 3g internet speed that i am paying for. Is this really possible?? If it is possible how can I do this? Is there a guide for this? Please help me, i love my Xperia Neo L but i still want to optimize it. I will aprecciate a lot your help.

No, I'm afraid there's no way you can change the phone's 3G frequency by any sort of software flashing because it's a hardware difference.

Correct what is mentioned above by Dr_Chris, it's related to the hardware and not possible to change.

U can change the frequency by dialing *#*#4636#*#* then menu button and frequency change or something like that xd but it wont work if your phone havent got a capable radio in it
