I have an SD card in my Z1 Compact which contains a lot of *.m3u Winamp playlist. The Sony Walkman application correctly displays them in Playlists (My Playlists).
I would love to add some of these playlists to my home screen for direct access (without having to launch the Walkman app first and then painfully scroll down and select the playlist each time).
Also, the Walkman does not distinguish Genre categories. So I was thinking about putting Pop, Rock, Classical folders onto my screen and then dragging the individual playlist shortcuts to these folders (so that when I want to listen to Pop albums, I just click the Pop folder and then select from among the playlists in that particular folder).
Is that possible?
When I tap on a playlist in Walkmann app, a menu appears with two items (Queue, Share). I would love to see "Add to Homescreen" added!
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Unfortunately these functions are not found in the Walkman as of today. I will however forward this feedback internally.
What I do not understand is that what I was able to do with my previous phone (Xperia Neo V, Android 4.0.1) is suddently impossible to do with Z1 Compact.
When I tap on the home screen of Xperia Neo V and hold, I get a personalization menu consisting of 6 items (Widgets, Applications, Folder, Shortcuts, Wallpapers, Themes). Using this menu, I can tap Shortcuts and get a vast submenu (Album, Artist, Bookmark, Camera, Contact, Direct Dial, Direct Message...........) allowing me to add a shortcut to a particular playlist to my home screen. I can also create a folder on my home screen called Rock and then move all rock music playlist shotcuts to it, thus creating a group of playlists containing rock music. Easy as cake. (Android 4.0.1 !!!)
What amazes me is that when I try to do the same with my Z1 Compact, I only get a 4-item menu. There are no Folder or Shortcuts options available! Why?
Please let your software programmers know about this issue. Thanks a lot!
