I have now my fourth mobile phone "Xperia X10 mini pro". All three of my former telephones of the same models have had some and almost the same errors, so I got them replaced by new ones according to the rules of guarantee. The one I have now was returned today from its first visit to the service center but the errors are still there like they were for my former phone before they got replaced. Nothing has helped. The errors are as follows:
The email program does not work properly. 15 emails out of 50 cannot be opened and many takes a long time to open. Timescape does not work in relation to Twitter. It is impossible to log in and in case you are successful to do so you cannot get further than just log in. The batteri is weak or the power consumption is too high. I have to recharge it often. How many units of the same model am I going to get before I get a phone that works?
In my view this model is almost useless.
which email app are you using?
are you using a taskiller? antivirus? battery/juice defender?
do you have a data plan?
do you manually stop running services/apps?
Email app: The original one which was included in the price
I am just using the apps included, no taskkiller, antivirus etc.
No dataplan.
Yes I do it manually.
I have almost had my phones in for service more than I could use them.
Hej Lars!
I know that we have been in contact before about these things and I think you also know what the conclusion was.
Unfortunately there will be no further updates for this phone so I suggest that if you would like to get your E-mail working you use an third party app. I.E Hotmail as we have suggested to you before. Same goes for Twitter. You can use the Twitter app to get your Twitter feeds working.
If you have any more questions about this contact Jimmy at the local Swedish support.

Hello Johan,
You are right we have been into contact with each other before, actually too many times because my problems with the phone are not solved. Of course I can use many third party apps downloaded from Android Market, but I want to use the preinstalled programs or apps that were included and paid for.
For instance if I buy a computer and the antivirus program does not work, nobody tells me to download an antivirus program from the Internet instead. What I have paid for I sould have, and it should work.
Why buying a phone with a lot of preinstalled apps that do not work The buyers should be informed what apps preinstalled are not working properly in advance. It would be good for the Hotmail users to know that the preinstalled email program does not work for certain hotmail accounts. A warning should be issued otherwise many customers will be dissatisfied.
One of the main reasons to get an smartphone is the "Market" so you can customize your phone as you please.

My reasons are to call, to receive and send emails and to read messages. The email program and Timescape (for messages from Facebook and Twitter) do not work properly and they were included in the price and preinstalled. Beides the weak battery or high power consumption does not allow many apps. I am satisfied with the programs and apps preinstalled if they worked properly. I conclude that I have bought a mobile phone which does not work like it should according to the specifications.
Fair enough that the apps that are included should work, but if 3 or 4 phones had the same or similar errors that doesn't sound right, there must be something going on either from the user side or from the store or the place that is giving you this phones.
I think you have network coverage issues, but as Johan said give them a call.

I bought my firts Xperia X10 mini pro in September 2010. Now I have my fourth unit of the same model.
The former ones have been replaced by new ones because of errors. I have been into contact with the retailer store (Tele2), the support at the network provider (Tele2) and many times (too many actually) both by phone and by email with Sony (Ericsson) Contact Center. Nothing has helped so far. Sony Contact center has advised me to give in the phone for service two or three times and if it does not help I will get a new one of the same model to replace the faulty one. Like this it can go on for a very long time until they are out of this model. Then perhaps I will get another model of equal value and functions.
The support by phone or by mail has not helpt so far.
I wonder if they are giving you the same phones
