I have a few issues with my W595.
I have taken a back up of all my phone contents using PC Suite but being a belt and braces sort of chap, I really want a hard copy of all of my contacts.
I have been able to do this easily with other phone versions of PC Suite but I can't see how to do it with the W595 version.
It is very important that I do this because the issues I am having with my phone, (it keeps losing all of the contacts and call history as well as stored text messages).
I would really appreciate any help at all.
Have you tried to transfer them to your PC by USB cable and/or upload the contacts to Yahoo, Gmail or Live.com ?
All my contacts are exported to a TEXT file then the file is emailed to myself. No way to lose them.
Thanks for your reply.
Sorry if I sound or appear a bit thick but can you explain a bit more about how you do what you have suggested to me?
Just to make sure that we are on the same wavelength, the moble phone is a Sony Ericsson W595 and I am using Sony Ericsson PC Suite 6.0.
Are you saying that you can export the contacts list out and view and manipulate them without PC Suite?
When I say manipulate, I mean for example, copying, cutting and pasting. I may decide that I want to create a Excell file to store them in and rather than type everything out again. There are obvious advantages if I can
at least cut or copy the details and paste them into the cells in Excell.
I am basically a raw beginner but if you keep it relatively simple I can follow you!
There are several ways to save then use contacts. Here is one.
Use Windows Live Mail or Office Outlook are your email client.
Connect your Cell by USB.
Open Sony Ericsson PC Suite 6.0.
Change the Sync settings for contacts to use Windows Address Book
Sync your contacts.
Open your contacts in Windows Live Mail or Office Outlook.
