I have imported my old contacts from the SIM, synced them with the SE site and have updated all my contacts, clearing out some and editing the names correctly. I have now synced them back to the phone. I would now like to delete everything on my SIM and then copy all my contacts from the phone to the SIM. How do I do this?
How about when in phonebook, menu>more>backup contacts and then select sim card, will that overwrite without the need to clean it first? you can also back them up to memory card too.
I have a X10 Mini, and I don't see that option. I click on the Contacts and then Options and I only get the Import From SIM, Sync etc options. Is there another way to navigate to what you are talking about?
There are some apps available, think ones called contact2sim... its a freebie and might help?
Already installed that but it reports it cannot find the SIM every time I run it. I even disabled SIMlock on it and reran it but it made no difference.
Oh bugger! That's me stumped then.
Edit... what old phone do you have? No chance you can use the SE sync thing in reverese. I uploaded mine from old C902 to SE then to X10. Presume I could do the same in reverse. I know it does work on certain other phones too, might be worth a look.
Nah, I trashed my old phone (dropped it down the toilet), hence why I had to buy a new one. But that was a consideration - if I can find another phone to use, I should be able to delete the old contacts off the SIM. Thanks anyway.
