How do I turn off 3G?

I activated my internet browsing which turned on the 3G function.

However I can't turn it off and it keeps dropping my credit balance down.

The first way to do it is to go:

Settings -> Wireless Controls -> Mobile Networks-----then uncheck the box that say data roaming.

You can also turn it of by dragging the notifications bar down and selecting data roaming, then uncheck the box.

Texting is too old school to be 3G.
