Dear All,
I updated my device Sony Xperia Arc using PC companion to Android 4.0.4. Due to some reason I need to go back to the previous OS version which was "OSVersion:2.3.3; Build:3.0.1.A.0.145; Model:LT15i".
Could anyone please point me to the correct firmware package for LT15i and the approved method of downgrading, I saw a smililar question where the firware package posted was for LT18i.
Any help is appreciated.
Yogi.

Hi Yogi, i know how u feel, ive been living with ICS on my ARC for about 3 weeks plus, at the last weeek, the phone is unbear-able slow...and im pretty much given up on sony updating wiht an optimized ICS for arc.
So i flash back my phone to Gingerbread .42(as that version allows easy rooting of the phone). Note by doing this, it means all app are gone and u need to re-setup, but i just did it this morning and very happy that i have a faster phone now..
anyways the step is relatively very simple.
This was my starting point:
Flash phone to GB .42
http://androidadvices.com/downgrade-sony-xperia-arc-official-gingerbread-23-firmware/2/
and then how to root your phone after its .42
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/27766
after doing all this, i removed all the stuff i do not use, and form 70MB of internal memory and a slow ICS phone, what i have now is a fast phone with 245MB of free internal memory (note this is after i installed, evernote, google+, etc etc etc) and i still have so much internal mem space..
DO it...
you will not regret it, i feel ARC is better on Gingerbread .42 (do not upgrade ot .62) thats unrootable..
good luck..

There are 2 stes to downgrade
1) Official - Handing in the Xperia at Sony Service center You can request to have 2.3 installed on your phone ( warranty would remain )
2) Unofficial- Flash Gingerbread using Flashtool (your warranty would get void)
One thread as given bu uliwooly above

Thanks a lot visualskyman, uliwooly and Nabeel.
I would like to keep the warranty intact since this is an official device. I would head to Sony Service centre soon.
