It used to be easy to add music to the SD card my phone - I'd plug it into my PC, then just use Windows File Manager to copy files across.
However, since the Android Kit Kat update I've not been able to do that at all.
There is a Sony file transfer app - but that simply puts music on internal memory. When I then try to move it from the internal memory to SD card I get a "Transfer interrupted" error message.
Thanks to Santa I've got a lot of new CD's and ripped them.
So the question now is - how on earth do I copy this ripped music to my Z1 SD card, please?

I'm afraid that any attempt to copy music across on the PC directly to the Z1's SD card doesn't work.
Music simply does not transfer to the SD card when the phone is connected to the PC. It used to - but now any attempt to copy music across results in a long time out, or the interrupted error message.
So I can't transfer music to the SD card via the PC or directly via the phone.
Something seems to have gone very wrong with the KitKat update, and now I can't use my Z1 properly for music, which is very frustrating.
That's quite odd, what if you use a different USB port and a different cable. Also how many music files are you trying to transfer ?
I'm simply trying to transfer a single album of MP3 files over. Whichever album I try to transfer, the result is the same.
I highly doubt it's a cable or port issue - the phone is connected and showing on the PC, and in the Xperia file transfer software. It simply doesn't want to add anything to the SD Card. I had presumed that this was because of the KitKat update.
