How can I ensure that a device that I buy is meant for my market?

Thank you Emir for your fast reply. After many hours wasted on this matter I finally find out why I cannot register my phone with Sony support website. I have bought the handset on Amazon UK as single SIM model from a shop registered as being in UK. In reality that shop was outside UK. They just added the letters UK to the company name. They delivered a dual SIM handset which is not sold yet in UK hence cannot be registered on Sony UK website, even I expected from such a big company as Sony to provide international guarantee. The handset worked very badly from the beggining, overheating (so hot that felt like burning my hand), closing down randomly, not charging for hours, so on, so on....nightmare! Sony sent me a debugging link. The phone worked even worse after I used it. Yesterday I've requested a refund from Amazon. Luckily enough the guy I was talking with on the phone went through same situation. He never doubt my story. Today I'll send the phone back. Now I wonder how can I be sure when buying another Sony Xperia Z5 phone on Amazon will be a handset I'll can register on Sony UK support website? I'm looking to have this model as I'm passionate on photography and due injury I cannot hold my heavy DSLR camera enymore. Sony Xperia Z5 it's supposed to have the best phone camera on the market (not that I could use with this handset I'll send back though! )

I don't use Amazon, but do I understand it correctly in that it's a marketplace for other private sellers? In that case, there is no way to be sure about what you're purchasing.

For you to make sure that you'll be able to register it, you could ask for the IMEI of the device that you're buying before actually purchasing it. You could also turn to a retailer chain within the UK for purchasing a device, but the only way to ensure that it's not imported is to buy it straight off of our Xperia Store.
