How can I download text messages from an Xperia Z1 to Computer?

I am trying to save all the text messages from a contact in messanger onto my computer. How can I do this efficiently?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

In our program PC Companion, you can create a back up of your text message but you will not be able to open the back up file or similar. You need to restore the back up file to your or another Xperia-phone if you want the messages to be displayed again.

But there might be a third party program that can save/back up your text message in another way. Perhaps, the program "MyPhoneExplorer" have this possibility.

The text messages are in an app called "Messenger". I am looking to be able to read the messages and print them from this app. The contacts in this app are different from the "Contacts" found in the "contacts" folder. I don't want to do a back-up that I can't view.

I just found out it is Facebook Messenger.

My suggestion, get on a computer, take screenshots and print them, or copy paste into a word document
