Home icons lost after update

Hi

Just completed the recent update 6.0.1 but it has lost all my downloaded icons from my screens!,  I now have to spend time and redo all again, dose this always happen when updating or is there something I have not done?

Thanks

Could you elaborate? if you performed the update through XC usually you get 2 options, a clean update which will delete everything from your phone or just update.

same happened to me, lost apps and fingerprint recognition. frustrating. they should inform what changes are coming so you have the choice to accept or not.

Hi Sony, what's this. The latest update just reset the screen, removed the fingerprint and deleted logins from some apps on my Xperia X. That's bad quality, indeed. How do I restore this? Is a simple restore allowed? This is inacceptable! Build# 34.0.A.2.292/3.10.84-perf-g5c3f7a0

Same here. Can't even remove widgets and icons from home screen. Really frustrating.

Hi,

I've forwarded this internally. I'll post here as soon as I know more.

After updating your Xperia X to software version 34.0.A.0.292 or 34.0.A.2.301, you may experience that the Home screen settings have been reset to default settings. This is because of a new feature, Dynamic customization, that was introduced with the software update.

The Home screen settings can be restored if you had used Backup & Restore or Xperia Transfer Mobile prior to FOTA update. If you haven’t done the software update via FOTA, the settings will be preserved in a mandatory software update for the Xperia Home app that will be distributed via Update Center and installed without user intervention. A new software update will be distributed via FOTA.

Regarding the deletion of previously registered fingerprints, this is intentional and due to an update of the Fingerprint software.
