if so how do i turn it off i know when i turned my phone on this morning i had 14 updates to download why?anyway i can stop them was to do with facebook, google and other rubbish..
finally am in the uk and still have not had the 4.3 update
Check the battery usage statistics at Settings--Power management--Battery usage. See which apps have used the battery most. Also read this FAQ page to know more on reducing battery usage: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Battery-time-and-enhancement-features/m-p/347874#U347874
Its showing the screen as using the most 65 percent
other apps are around 5 percent
Were data, wifi, bluetooth, etc. turned off during the night or they were on? Do you use a task killer or an antivirus?
The screen shown at anytime to have used 65% is normal. But just tap on the battery graph in the Battery usage screen and you will see a more detailed graph with information on when the screen was on, and when the phone was in sleep and was awake. If your phone was staid awake during a large part of the night, then some program was probably running in the background keeping the phone awake, it could be social networking apps, antivirus, task killer, third pary alarm clock, etc.
all turned of accept data.
task killer no
also where is my 4.3 update?
i have one question could you help me with
data usuage i have turned that off is that ok if am using my wireless????????
also where can i find some info on what the icons mean top of the screen on my phone..

Update availability depends on a lot of factors, be sure to check out this page: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/The-software-update-collection-topic/m-p/348066#U348066 You will only have to wait till you receive a notification on PC companion or your phone.
Wireless, you mean a bluetooth device? It will consume battery, but not like browsing or gaming, as screen here is not on.
