Help stuck on Japanese keyboard

I started to text earlier and I noticed my keyboard had changed and now its the Japanese one. Ive gone into setting and keyboard but I cant seem to change it back to standard. Can anyone help please?

Hi there, open your text app and tap the text input box, then long press on the text input box and you will recieve a pop up with an option of Input Method.  Tap on that and then select Default Keyboard.

Like most things.... its simple when you know how! Also the joys of the Forum, someone has bound to have done it before you so can hopefully point you in the right direction.

Can someone tell me how can I get rid of the "Japanese keyboard"

don't know why it's there, I never install or use it

I don't think you can unless you root your phone to remove it

its part of the update

I think my phone was rooted

How do I check root or not?

install Titanium Backup or Barnacle and see if you can install it

Install titanium backup from the market and look around for the apps keyboard etc that you want to remove
