Help, static-like noise builds up in secondary microphone while recording video or just audio

Hi, new Xperia user here. I recently bought the Z5 Compact and everything seemed ok until I saw one of the videos I had recorded. When recording video, or just audio or even a Hang Out call the secondary mic starts building up noise non stop until the audio is unusable. The strange thing is if I tap the side of the Xperia, where the mic is located, the noise stops. I've tried several configurations and this happens in every audio recorded with the phone.

Here is a sample of the problem, the noise starts being audible around the second 20, then by 60 has taken over the entire channel, and at 65 seconds I tap the phone with my finger and the sound stops.

Do you think this could be software? Or should I send it to repair.

This seems more hardware related as you are required to tap the device to get the audio working again. I would suggest you speak to Customer Care about this to see what they can do to help.
