Help needed with adhoc and PPPOE

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I am having Xperia PRO MK16i, I am having PPPOE connection at home, I need help connecting to it.
As i know there are two ways,

1.using PPPOE app
2.Using adhoc network.

I found some app in android market but all of dose require root access. Since rooting the device voids the warranty, I do not want to take any risk doing that.. So please help me with this issue.

Unfortunately Xperia Pro does not support adhoc. There might be some third party app for this on Market but as you said they might also need root access.
