HELP! Is there any way I can RETRIEVE deleted photos from my internal storage?

Cut & pasted all my photos over from internal storage to my PC and lost half of them in the process (bad USB cable I think) ARGH .. is there any possible way of retrieving them??  For some reason they never backed up on my last few back ups.

Also, one of them was my wallpaper photo and is still showing as my wallpaper -- is there anyway of saving that wallpaper photo as the file is no longer in my album.

OMG I could cry as these are photos of my 9 month little girl sob sob

Unfortunately once they are deleted they are generally gone. However with this said there may be low resolution versions in an accessible place. If you connect the phone to a PC and then Check Internal Storage > DCIM > Thumbnails, there may be something there.
