Hello everyone, Im having trouble repairing my phone. I just wanted to revert back to stock ROM coz im currently running a custom ROM. I knew repair phone can bring back original ROM but the problem is, when connecting to PCC it says "NO INTERNET CONNECTION", whilst on SUS, whenever I tried to connect my phone, it gives me an error sayin "FAILED TO DETECT THE PRODUCT"
Can someone give me a hand here please..
Thank you so much!
Thats your issue - You have modified software installed so both PCC and SUS can't detect which firmware you have installed - Also if your bootloader is unlocked both softwares won't work,
your only option is to use Flashtools and manually flash a .ftf firmware file
See here for a guide and here for a list of firmwares
Ignore the title on the guide it's the process you need to follow or you could try using Sony's developer software called Emma here
I forgot to mention but my bootloader was still locked, I also unrooted my phone using the supersu app, reset the phone but to no avail. Back to sony ericsson days, im just using the PCC to revert back to original ROM. And I dont know what happened right now. I can't isolate the problem. But my prediction is the custom ROM is the culprit for this.
Yes it is the culprit - Use Flashtools and the info above to revert back to stock Emaa ill not work if your Bootloader is relocked
I considered using flashtool as my last resort, I guess I should do it now, one more question, what kind of ftf file should I download, i'm from Philippines. Thanks a lot!
Not long had a simalar conversation about this as there are 3 types of SP - The C5302, 5303 and 5306 - I'm guessing you have one of the 1st two but which one, On your phone go to Settings - About Device or Phone and look for the model number - That will help narrow down which .ftf firmware file is best suited for you and your country
I have C5303, so is it ok to download generic ftf of whatever country for this one?
The latest version is this one Xperia SP_C5303_12.0.A.2.245_Russia_Generic which is also the latest firmware version there are other versions available if you take a look at my 1st post in this thread
.254 was the latest firmware available for SP which one should I get for c5303 im from ph
The one above should be fine - You may find that some apps pre-installed are of no use to you however if you wish you can root your phone again and delete these using for example Titanium Backup unless you can find another firmware over on XDA that best suits your country
