headset not Compatible

My xperia m isn't allowing me to play any audio through my earphones or aux cable. It was allowing me to up until this afternoon? Can someone help please

Have you checked the 3.5mm input for any dirt?

Cant see any dirt and ive restarted the phone still doesnt work
