Headphone Jack Broken

I've already had to pay £100+ to repair my phone because the audio jack stopped working, it's now stopped working again. I then start using my sisters old phone, Xperia T, and that one stops working.
I don't do anything stupid with the phones, I don't drop them, I don't throw them, they have ample room in my pockets. I've always used the NC31EM earphones on them (Sony Earphones) - Any solutions? I don't want to have to pull out another £100 because of this.

Hi @nedthefed,

Welcome to the community.

Try another set of headphones to be sure. Also check the headphone jack for debris, dust, moisture etc. If there's anything present, you can clear it out with a can of compressed air (the electronics cleaning kind).

Hey nedthefed, I agree with CameronT as I had pocket lint down at the very bottom of my headphone jack which caused it to stop working. I highly suggest downloading an app called SoundAbout, (there's a free version and a pro version which costs money) as this will tell you if it's the headphone jack itself or not. I hope this helps.
