HDMI (TV remote control)[NOT SOLVED]

First hello everyone, i am new here and i am here because i need help. When i connect my arc s on tv via HDMI cable it works fine i have image and sound but i can't control phone using remote control. On phone "Control for HDMI" is checked and on tv in options control for HDMI is on. When i press navigation button on remote control green light on tv just blink and nothing happens. Am i doing something wrong? Please help.

Android version on my phone is 4.0.3 and my tv is Sony Bravia

This function doesn't work with all TVs, I believe you get a message about this when you connect the phone via HDMI. It seems like your TV isn't supported unfortunately.

I dont get any message when i connect my phone.So if i understand right, my SONY phone dosnt support my SONY TV :smileyconfused:?(TV support HDMI CEC i checked in manual,kdl-32p3550). Anyway, thank you for reply Samuel and if you have any other idea or solution please let me know.

Today i tried this option on my friend's samsung tv and it worked perfectly, when i got home its still not working with my TV. I am really pissed off and disappointed in SONY. In my experience not all TVs give all CEC functionality to our Xperia Phones....

I tried the following...

A 50" LG SmartTV which works ONLY in one HDMI port:

- Directional pad

- Back button

- Menu button

- Media buttons

A 21" Toshiba TV which work on all HDMI ports (2):

- Directional Pad

- Back button

- Menu button

- Home button

- Media buttons

A 32" LG TV works in 1 of the 2 HDMI ports:

-Media buttons

My Sony 42" SmartTV works for all HDMI port

- Color buttons (for notification bar, menu, back)

- Directional Pad

- Home, Menu, Back buttons (you can disable this, so they can control the TV instead, or choose on the go)

- Media buttons

Remember that beside having to be Compatible, and most of them requiring to turn the CEC function to work, some TV needs to have the deivce plug into the right HDMI port...

Other than that I dont know how else to help you...
