HDMI for Xperia U Solution?

I found on my service setting using xperia U that is has HDMI Test availability ( dial this if you want to test it *#*#7378423#*#* on the last part you can see HDMI test ). but technically xperia U has MAJOR NO NO NO for HDMI port but what if we could have some generic HDMI port which can port to USB port Like this http://www.cablewholesale.com/specs/10v3-44106.htm

SO SONY U THINK THIS COULD WORK ?

i havent tried it yet..but i hope it will work,.,hope someone will read this thread that tried this thing so we could have informed

I don't think it will work unfortunately and the reason for HDMI test being included is because the service menus are all the same for all new phones. Xperia U doesn't have any encoded software for viewing pictures or playing audio through the USB port, so in order for this to work you would have to modify the software.

Do you think that this samsung hdmi cable could work on xperia U because if isnt i have no choice but to buy livedock so i could connect my xperia u to tv..i really want it to be connected on tv 🙂

I've heard livedock isnt for connect to tv. It is for work like a dock, a little station with simple functions.

Im sure u dont know what are u talking. The xperia Arc is conected to tv through hdmi port and not by livedock.

Look at 50 seconds and the guy says clearly.
