HDMI connection problem

I have a problem. I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia ARC phone that has a HDMI function that connects to a HDTV. I noticed from some videos in Youtube that we can control the phone using the TV remote control when connected to the TV; but unfortunately it doesn't work with my TV remote. I have a Toshiba HDTV. Plz help.

p/s My TV has a Consumer Electronic Control (CEC).

but i dont have any idea how to help you..

i did not changed any settings or anything to control from a tv remote..

That's the problem. SE got to solve this problem quickly. It's a very good function.

chances are this feature will only work with Sony TVs.

Its quite common.

I have a Samsung TV and a Samsung HDD recorder - I can control either one from either

remote, but only when they're plugged into each other, not into non-Samsung devices.

Unfortunately we can't guarantee that this will work with TV's from other manufacturers and as far as I know, there is no update regarding this on the way.

i am using SONY HD TV and with 4.0.4 Xperia Arc S

but my BRAVIA SYNC CANNOT DETECT the CEC device..

my ROM is rooted im not sure if ROOTING will make the HDMI CEC not possible.

i will try again when my Dad's GB stock ARC is here

I just bought a Toshiba LED TV PU200 and tried to connect my ARC S via HDMI, it works but the remote is not. What should I do?
